Amazon is one of the world’s largest merchants today, but it doesn’t make it infallible. Though it normally towers over most of its competitors, it nonetheless confronts the same challenges as the competition, such as broken goods, incorrect things being sent out, and, on occasion, Amazon package not delivered.
Amazon and other merchants are trying to make online shopping even more convenient. Still, greater internet shopping equals more chances for your products to be misplaced or stolen. Missing an Amazon box can be a nightmare, but figuring out what went wrong and how to fix Amazon package not delivered doesn’t have to be.
What Should You Do If Your Amazon Order Still Needs to Arrive?
You’re not alone if your Amazon delivery is going differently than planned. A Google search for Amazon delivery difficulties uncovers a slew of complaints. What if you placed an order, but the vendor has yet to dispatch it after several days, weeks, or even months?
Don’t freak out. Amazon will only charge your credit card once your order is verified and in the delivery process. You may still cancel the order until then by navigating to Accounts and Lists > Account > Your Orders and clicking Cancel Order.
If you still require the item, check for alternative vendors on Amazon (by going to the product page and selecting New or Used under the listed price) or elsewhere.
The Amazon Item was Marked as Delivered, But It Has Yet To Arrive
When Amazon indicates your delivery has been delivered, it has sometimes been delivered. However, Amazon provides rules for just this kind of case. Some of these may seem apparent, yet they must be checked off:
- Check that the shipping address on your order is correct.
- Keep an eye out for a notice of attempted delivery.
- Examine the area around the delivery place.
- Check to verify if your package was delivered to your neighbors.
- Could it be delivered to your Amazon Locker instead?
- Examine your letterbox; some deliveries are made via numerous carriers, including the usual postal service.
- Allow 48 hours. Packages may be delivered while still en route.
What is A-to-Z Guarantee Protection on Amazon?
Assume you purchased an item from a third-party seller who does not provide the “Fulfilled by Amazon” guarantee. It implies you won’t be able to monitor a package using your Amazon account site. A rogue vendor may charge your card and claim to have sent the item without actually sending it. Fortunately, you still have some options for redress. Amazon’s A-to-Z Guarantee Protection provides it.
To lodge an A-to-Z claim, you must contact the seller using your Amazon account and wait 48 hours for a response. You can claim if the vendor needs to answer adequately. You must fulfill one of the following requirements:
- You have yet to get the goods within 30 days of the estimated delivery date or three days after.
- Your item was damaged, faulty, or significantly different from what you bought.
- You returned an item to Amazon but still need to be refunded.
- You need to return an item to a country other than the United States, but the seller does not give a U.S. address or an international mailing label.
- Because the merchant misjudged customs and/or shipping charges, you must pay them upon delivery.
A-to-Z claims must be submitted within 90 days of the projected delivery date. Go to Accounts and Lists > Your Account > Your Orders to submit a claim. Locate the order you wish to file a claim against and select File/View Claim. Explain why you’re claiming the first box. Select Request refund through A-to-Z Guarantee in the second box.
Amazon Prime Packages That Have Gone Missing
The same procedures apply if you’re an Amazon Prime member and an item on your Amazon order has yet to arrive. It is preferable if you work through them. However, Amazon Prime members receive additional perks to help them cope with non-delivery.
If the item does not come within the time range specified by Amazon at the purchase or does not arrive at all. You may be eligible for a free one-month membership to Amazon Prime, which will be added as a free month to the end of the expiration date of your existing Amazon Prime subscription.
Some customers have claimed to receive discount certificates, reductions in Amazon Prime membership costs, and other advantages from Amazon. Amazon provides these perks on an as-needed basis. Purchasers of Amazon Prime Pantry may have a different experience, so conduct your homework while keeping in mind that you still have rights.
You have rights in these matters, so there are ways of resolving delivery issues for items you bought on Amazon. Hopefully, you know how to spot fake sellers, and if anything goes wrong with your Amazon delivery, know how to get your money back. And remember, if you’re fed up with Amazon, there are plenty of Amazon shopping alternatives, such as eBay.
